I just got this new remote control for my home theatre. The Marantz RC5000i (it's like the pronto) I can't stop messing with this thing. Its harder to set up then I thought. Does anybody have one of these? can you lend me your expertise?

Later!

Yep. Go to www.remotecentral.com. There are piles of CCF files there. Are you using a reciever or a pre-pro?

I'm using a reciever. Marantz SR880. I'm thinking about upgrading to DTS, I'd love a lexicon but there isn't alot of content out for it that I have seen. Not to mention big bucks. After reading the manual I came across remotecentral. It was a big help. If only I could get a macro to converge my vidikron

I will be getting a Lexicon MC-1 in the next week or two. I can give you some feedback.
Are you storing and manipulating the remote config on the PC?

Right on, Definatly send your feedback. I really like what I've heard about this unit. While my sound is good its the weakest link in my system. As for the remote...definatly on the PC. Trying to do everything from the remote would be impossible. I spent hours over the weekend setting it up and found once I figured out what was going on I could configure it fairly easily. Learnig IR codes while you have the screen up infront of you made things alot easier.
What are your currently running in your Theatre ?

I am currnetly running a Denon 5700 through 3 M&K S150s and 4 SS150s. I have an Earthquake 12in Mk4 Sub. My DVD is a Toshiba 3108. My weak link is that I am using a XBR2. I don't have room for a projector, but I am builung a room in the basement. I will be replacing the Denon with the Lex and Parasound Amps (forget which models), a 5ch and a 2. And you?

Running my Marantz SR880 into Paradigm pro-series rull range ( gotta support the Canadians ) a Toshiba SD5109 progressive scan DVD. 2 Velodyne VA-1012X subs and a Vidikron Vision 2 projector. Lucky for me it fell off a truck so I couldn't say no. Odds are I wouldn't spend this much money on a TV.

I've heard good things about the Dennon..are you looking for more power?

There are a lot of DTS DVDs and cds available. Jurassic Park, U571, Perfect Storm, Gladiator, to name only a few.

My setup includes a Toshiba 65TW HDTV, 5 Trident Gold THX speakers, 2 Trident subwoofers, Toshiba SD9100 progressive scan DVD player, matched Chiro DTS, Dolby Digital 5.1 decoder, Chiro preamp and Chiro Amps, Satellite, Toshiba Tape recorder(never used) and a Pronto.

On some disks, the difference between DTS and 5.1 is hardly noticeable, on action movies, it rocks.

Enjoy your home theater, love mine.
