Help: Looking for suggestions on advertising
Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone in the S2k community has any ideas.
I created the following website: http://www.triadnc.net/ .
It is a website with free resources for the Triad of North Carolina. I went to some local newspapers to run the ad. They all said they would not run it beause they say I compete with them.
The reason I set up the community website for free is because all the other websites have banners everywhere, charge outrageous rates for online classifieds, and generally just trying to make as much money as possible.
I feel like there is no reason there cannot be a free community website.
My question is: Since none of the local newspapers will run the ad incluing the Charlotte Observer, Winston-Salem Journal, High Point Enterprise, Kernerville Times, and even the Thrify Nickel. Does anyone else have some advertising suggestions?
I have put together what I consider a decent website in it's early stages but I need to get the word out to the local community.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dean2900
