So far, so good.

Wrong! More like 70 L.

1,000 cubic centimeters = 1L

5,600cc x 1L/1,000cc, the ccs cancel out, so 5.6L.
Precisely.

Now go back and redo your calculation with 70,000 cc.

Here's one I missed once. Simplified for the crowd

If carpet costs $1.00/ square foot, how much is 3.25 square feet of carpet?

I answered $4.00, but the instructor had a different opinion.

^ I know, and I was pissed enough to let him know about it. I explained to him that I'm not a moron and realize the number would be different IF YOU COULD BUY CARPET IN FRACTIONS OF A SQUARE FOOT.

^ Well, in the original post the rock turned into rocks. So the answer is, how many rocks will it take of on a treadmill?

MAybe I missed something in the thread but is the OP only asking for the volume of the rock?

That would just be

volume with rock - total start volume - = volume of rock.

I'm too lazy to lookup the equation for volume of a recangle so google it OP. lol
