I'm a single guy, and I need blinds. So, I went to Lowes and the prices blew me away. I am looking for blackout blinds for my bonus room and master bedroom, and topdown/bottom ups for my living room. I like the looks of cellular, and assume they are my only choices for blackouts. My mom says that you can get blinds real cheap from the back of some magazines, so i decided to look on the internet. The cheapest i could find were $94 for 31x59 double cell blackouts with free top down/bottom up option. Not much better than Lowes, if at all.

I need help, someone ask their wife to help me save money. I'm not about to spend over a thousand dollars on blinds, especially with all the delectable mods available for the S.

just tape some towels to your window...

aluminum foil works wonders for blacking windows out.

 

really though, blinds are expensive if you dont want them to suck/break/not go up or down easy etc etc.

maybe try curtains instead?
