Hmmm....new info.....

His my space page states he is 19 years old.

This page http://www.gotfrag.com/cs/user/203761/ , claims he was born in 1984. The only thing I can think of, is that counterstrike is a game with an M rating...meaning, you have to be 18 to play it. Might have registered this when he was underage, and bumped his DOB.

Handle:

w2z-lansomnia
(anyone playing counterstrike see if you can get into a game with him)

*NEW INFO....

http://www.complexityclan.com/index.php?fi...rofile&ID=42783

Over here, he claims to be born on January 1st, 1970. This means (lets ASSume he is a lame, not a pro) that his myspace page is the actual truth)

*Based on posts like this....

I'll make this post simple due to the fact your still doing key stage 2.

1. You clearly think your a gangster lol, if not then whats this supposed to mean? "basicly if it wasnt for ppl like us then "gangsters" wouldnt exist"

2. My name might be ImSoHood but do you see me trying to act like a thug...no because i know im not one.

3. Me bum licking higher lvls? wtf are you on, im just stating my opinion.
(i) Since you seem to lack common sense, i have a high lvl char which is higher than you, Thanks. (It hardly takes a genious to work that one out)

4. Whats being gay got to do with this or is that all you can come up with to try and insult me?

5. WHEN did i say or claim to be a gangster?

6. "ur name should be imsogay" Cool, did you come up with that yourself. Im touched.

I will say that he is definetely 19.

Massive new info.....

http://www.esportsea.com/index.php?124988

and
http://www.team3d.net/index.php?124988

Confirms he is actually 19, and is in NY. This is a PAID service, so its probably reliable info...but again, assuming he is a lame.

This is from an ADMIN of a server that banned people for using BOTS to cheat in counterstrike....
http://psycho.mypunbb.com/viewtopic.php?pid=15

So you dont have to read all of it......

(This IP is from the UK, but he did join a CS group in the UK, must be a server or something)

Im getting so close I can smell the woodwork in court.

Maybe you should consider hiring a private investigator. They have tools that are legal but not available to the general public. There's also a really good (and cheap) website that my dad uses (he's an attorney) for simple searches. I'll see if I can track down the URL tomorrow. It's pretty amazing, and scary, what it comes up with from the public record.

being that its a web based address, its going to be difficult to trace the IP.
I have to imagine the email will be sent from the hotmail server, not from the users computer. You might try contacting hotmail with the problem and see if they will release the IP of the user logging into that account.
Exactly. Besides, hackers will use the web based accounts because they can login from virtually anywhere. Even if you could track down the likely dozens of IP addresses they have used. If the guy is not a complete moron you would find the addresses would lead you back to libraries, cyber cafes, etc.

Good luck, but I wouldn't bet the farm. It sounds like you got the money back, time to let it go. Unfortunatly.

Dude, you are the modern Michael Corleone. If you really wanted payback, you shouldn't have talked about it. There are a million ways to exact revenge on someone..and I have done it many a times because I am a vindictive fuker. Personally, I would have gone to kinkos/starbucks and hooked up to their wireless. From there, connect through an anonymous proxy server/browser and begin working. Once you have someone's social, the possibilities are endless...opening credit card/lines and donating the entire credit amount to a charity that takes donations online is a good one. Honestly, it takes alot of work and time to really screw someone over. In my experience, its better to let the participating company (paypal/ebay) try to help before resorting to revenge tactics. If paypal didnt do anything, I would call the police and report the fraud/theft.

The FBI's internet fraud division can be useful, especially when it comes to wire/bank fraud measuring in the thousands of dollars.
