It's a business alright. I'm not sure how lucrative though. sure the big stars make money. There are so many people willing to get ****ed on camera nowadays. I would be curious as to what the average $$$$$$ star makes a year.

Some of the 'stars' do take their business seriously, and make loads of cash (and have fun doing so).

Some years back, Asia Carrera gave some interviews in the online first person shooting (fps) circles because she's a big fan of Unreal Tournament.

She went on to explain how it's important for $$$$$$ stars to diversify themselves because they can't just go and do it well past their prime (sagging boobs and all that)... There was some interesting info in there, tips for those who want to start in the business, etc.

Just do a quick search for her (her website, which she takes care of herself) is not too hard to find. Hopefully you'll find the UT articles as well since it goes into quite some depth (without being rated x for any audience).

$1-4,000 per scene for an 'amateur' female, depending on whether she will do girl on girl, take it up the rear, etc Males can make $500-1500 per scene, but good luck getting into anything buy gay pr0n.
so at an average of $2500 per scene. 100 scenes would make $250000.

Is it probable for the average girl to do a 100 scenes?

A while ago there was this show on HBO that used to come on called Seymour Butts. It was a reality show following this guy who is a $$$$$$ producer. He seemed EXTREMELY well off...

highly motivated prostitutes in Vegas can make upwards of a million per year, with $500k being easy pickings assuming you're hot. I think Scot has exploited a few of these woman in the past

OK so my topic for the paper is, are pornstars exploited or shrewd business people?. Im having trouble finding references to support or debate my p.o.v. all i get when searching are $$$$$$ sites and nothing helpful. i need 2 references and i tried searching yahoo, ask, and google.
What words are you using to search for information? For more academic results, you may want to use words like "sex trade workers" "empowerment" etc. There's a great show here in Canada called SexTV. My work won't let me access their page, but you might find some useful information and/or links there.
