there's a TON of academic info on this stuff. i currently don't have access to the databases like JSTOR and projectMUSE, but I'm certain they'd have articles on it.
if you go to any university library they'll point you in the right direction.

search: American studies, ethics, philosophy, society, pornography.

You basically have three sides:

1. The old feminist/Christian view that they are still exploited, by either the act being bad, or the overall male hierarchy that still exists.

2. The new feminist "empowered" view, that states women have turned the tables by embracing their sexuality.

3. Someview in the middle.
