Anyone got that Shannon Elizabeth website coming up on their PCs??? My brother was doing something on my PC and now it keeps poping up that stupid website plus some hacker websites. Anyone know how to get rid of it.

No clue. That must suck.

*note* I'm just posting here so I don't have the number of time I posted to remain at 66(4+2).

Cheers,

Try running the adaware program from this site.t might be able to get rid of those pop ups.

Be aware that a website can set your homepage for you through the use of JavaScript. This all occurs in the background and you don't realize your homepage has been changed until you open your browser window again. I learned this the hard way after visiting some questionable sites...my wife opened the browser up and there was porn woops..honey, I have no idea how that got on there

So you probably don't have a virus, just need to change your homepage in your browser options.

if you use internet explorer 4.0 or higher, web pages cannot change your homepage without prompting the user first. This also goes for closing the window you are currently working in, if a web page tries to do either, you will be prompted. sounds like you have some application installed that is popping ads up now and then....try some of that software that detects adware running, and helps uninstall it. Good luck

Check your 'favorites' also. Some sites add themselves without permission.
