Default help settle a bet

2 guys. old friends.

1 guy owns his own business (guy1)

1 guy works a full time job (guy2)

guy1 needs help with his store and asks guy2 to pitch in with some organizing and bringing guy1 food since guy1 can't leave his store.

guy1 often is unhappy that guy2 can't get him food exactly when he wants it. guy2 tries to get him food when he can, but he is often busy with his own work/life. guy2 often says that he is not sure when he can deliver the food and tells guy1 not to wait for him. guy1 often chooses to wait, then complains anyway.

does guy1 have a right to be angry with guy2 or should he just be glad that guy2 is willing to help?

and yes, it is a gay love story, yadda yadda yadda.

guy 2 offered to help one shift a week

guy 2 spends most of the shift surfing the net, watching movies and iming friends

guy 2 has no set hours and comes whenever he feels like it

guy 2 treated job with equal apathy when it was his full time job

guy 1 simply wants to know when the other guy is coming so that he knows whether to order from another place

Sounds like guy1 and guy2 should just move in together and enjoy spooning during the figure skating championships.

guy 2 offered to help guy 1 out of friendship

guy 1 asked guy 2 "if you give someone a present...but you ask the guy to crawl thru feces to get it...is this still a present?

guy 2 said "yes"

If Guy 2 is taking time out of his day to help you out, I think that you should just have patients and wait for him to have the time to do it... Since, he never really had to ask in the first place

He was nice enough to offer, and for free... no need to get stingy on why he doesn't do it on your time, right?

so just to be clear, if you hired a friend as a worker that had previously worked as a full time worker

although of course it is generous of that friend to take time to help out from his difficult 30 hour a week schedule that he is allowed to work only four days a week

you would be cool with that guy showing up whenever he felt like it rather than committing to a specific time so that you could take a dinner break?

let me be clear here...the times that guy 1 got mad were only when guy 2 committed to a time and then showed up a few hours later

guy 1 never was upset when guy 2 didn't commit to a time

the guy accepts money for his work...even though most of it is spent surfing net

granted it isn't much money...but it's fair market price for the job
