so just to be clear, if you hired a friend as a worker that had previously worked as a full time worker
although of course it is generous of that friend to take time to help out from his difficult 30 hour a week schedule that he is allowed to work only four days a week
you would be cool with that guy showing up whenever he felt like it rather than committing to a specific time so that you could take a dinner break?
let me be clear here...the times that guy 1 got mad were only when guy 2 committed to a time and then showed up a few hours later
guy 1 never was upset when guy 2 didn't commit to a time

Especially since he is getting payed too...
I hope I am understanding the situation fully

Seems more like the aftermath of one, rather than the relationship itself. You're both being dicks. Grow up.

it is dickish to expect the other half
i'll make a note to myself to try to do better next time and just be glad for half the favor

if someone promises you a favor... but then they only follow thru with half of the favor

Hey, buddy, I didn't say you are the only one to blame... clearly he's not living up to his part of the bargain... but it's sort of one of those "it takes two to tango" situations.
just having fun with that response
my only point is that just because you do a favor for someone doesn't give you the right to be half ass about the favor
it is a two way street...i get a little help during a tough economy...he makes a few bucks spending money for doing very little work
the only issue was over whether guy 1 should be glad to get food at all...or did guy 1 have the right to at least have the right to know when the food was coming
even prisoners know when they are going to eat
