Default help! trouble with email

I just started to have this problem when attaching something to a email it won't deliver it and a error message comes up. Also when trying to upload a pic to my photo album here it doesnt work either.

Do I have a problem with windows98?

Be gentle and speak in lamens terms I am a bit ignorant when it comes to computers and such.

I don't know what browser your running,
But I would upgrade to Internet Explorer 6 and Outlook Express 6, or another favorite e-mail program.
Netscape 6.1 isn't that bad either

Who is your e-mail provider? What software do you use to read email? What is the error message?

the reason I think it may be windows98 prob is I cant upload any pics to my album here. Also I have no trouble sending email just when I have a attachment. Any ideas? perhaps I deleted a file or something.

I don't think it's an @Home problem cause some mail is flowing. I also don't think it is a Win 98 problem. I would suspect the route that Axcilla mentoned. I would try reinstalling or upgrading Internet Explorer. Outlook Express is part of IE and should get reinstalled along with it. Keep us updated...

Also, do you know how to screen capture a window? Get the error message up and click on the title bar to make it the active window (this brings it to the forefront). Then press Alt+Print Screen (this puts a copy in the clipboard). Then go to a program like word or wordpad and paste it in there. Send me the pic and I'll try to do some research on TechNet. With luck, it will be a known problem and an easy fix.

I can't find any info on that error message in any Microsoft documentation. If you feel comfortable with it, you can PM me your phone number and I'll give you a call. I think that message is bogus and I know how we can prove it.
