On May 15th 2007, encourage all your friends and families not to go to a gas
station in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most
places.

There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet, and the
average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up.

If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take
$2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companies

I mean we still need to drive.
So we all go to the gas station on the 14th and fill up so we dont have to go on the 15th??

Yeah, it only works if everyone doesn't fill up on the 14th in preparation for the 15th. I guess what you really need to do is use an alternative form of transportation that day.

I've gotten an email like this every couple of months for years now and I've never seen anything come of it.

 

considering everyone that doesn't buy gason the 15th will buy it on the 16th or 17th, I really don't think the oil companies care about one slow day. They have us by the balls.


If everyone really wanted to protest we would dramatically cut down on driving all the time, use public transportation, only drive vehicles with great gas mileage (hybrids), and bike/walk everywhere within reason. Only then wuld the oil companies have to do something about prices (supply and demand brotha).
