Hobbies other than S2000?
Just read your post Le Car...uh...that's what I want to do too...haha. No seriously, I was a straight A+ in art all the way through school, same for college, but I left early...hence the "no degree" from my earlier post. My question is, how do you line up clients and jobs? Thanks for any info.

It's quite subtle in fact. I never really looked for jobs and clients, it's more a matter of doing non-paid creative jobs that get seen (I art directed a magazine for a while), and since you work for free > you do what you want > it's better-looking than if you had restrictions > people like it > they come to see you > you ask for lots of money!!
But I've been lucky : my first job outside of the art school was to design an entire range of snowboards + logo + catalogs + ads + web site + ... for Rossignol. So I could have bought 2 s2000s straight away! (plus they were treating me good : I could benefit from all the advantages of pro riders - boards, lift tickets, summer camps - without having to compete!)
Socializing is definitely the key to get contacts, at least in big cities. I think I attended every champagne-filled shop or gallery opening in Paris for the last 4 years
