... Another thing, if the engine shuts down at every stop, what about wear? Is it not true that an engine suffers its worst wear on start up? so in my average drive I would be re-starting my engine 100 times in a day..

I'll bet we will start to see this on a lot of cars very soon.
So after reviewing the AC Propulsion website, and yesterday going over the K-1 kit car (the one with the Accord engine), I'm wondering if the AC Propulsion technology/drivetrain can be mated to the K-1 car?
Hmmmm, I'm thinking real-driveable kit car with much gusto.....

I don't know if it is true or not, but I was at a Honda dealership this morning, and a salesman told me that the insight is the only car to outpreform the S2000 in the "emergency lane change" test. I think that is pretty awsome.
As far as top speed is concerned, I would be hesitant to take the car up to 100 plus speeds because it is so light (it only weighs 1800 pounds).
All and all I think the insight is a pretty neat car, and as far as the gas milage question, the automatic gets 58 in the city and 56 on the highway. The 5 speed gets even better gas milage, but they didn't have one so I don't know what the exact numbers are.
Also while looking it over, it dawned on me that this is the new generation CRX... Pretty neat.
