Wife and I also did the no plan thing.
Very relaxing.
We just took off in the morning and headed north.
No accomodations, no plans of any kind.
We ended up all over Colorado.
In fact loved it so much we bought property in Estes Park a few years later.

We also loved Cancun, but it was so busy and you had to have reservations to do the fun stuff like snorkeling.

We've also been to the Disney theme parks, but they're too busy. Need reservations there also.

LeSource Resort in Grenada, in the Caribean.
-- Grenada isn't overrun with tourists like the other islands. If you go to St. Georges (the only city), you will see few tourists and plenty of very friendly locals.
-- It is a 4-star resort with full massage, aromatherapy, and other spa activities included
-- It offers a million activities, from sailing to scuba to evening jobs to lying on the beach with a pina colada, all included. It even has excellent food.
-- Ocean-side, isolated from other hotels and resorts
-- Very unspoiled island. There is a beautiful rainforest a few miles away, with waterfalls, hiking trails and beautiful views.
-- The other people staying at the resort are from all over (Britain, France, Australia, Italy, Germany, etc.).

Good luck.

My gf just wants to go visit the UK. I've lived there for 6 months (plus a few trips otherwise) so I try to get her to do other things.

I've never been out of a state that didn't touch the Atlantic ocean (not really, but that was true until I graduated college).

In the spring, my girlfriend and I will probably be heading to Sandal's Royal Bahamian (http://www.sandals.com/main/bahamian/ba-home.html). My good friend just went in the fall - he loved it. It's all-inclusive, has free scuba for non-licensed divers, mucho pools, private island, no kids, etc.

Urmil,

My best friend spent his honeymoon in Tahiti. He said he had a great time. I saw some of the pictures he took while he was there, and the water is just amazing. It's so clear and blue. He also got to feed some sharks and d o a lot of snorkeling.

Come to Hawaii. For a busier party crowd, Go to Oahu. But if you want to relax, the 4 seasons on the Big Island is a nice secluded place. The Island has many things to do. Wonderful beaches, beautiful scenery, and wonderful site seeing. Every newlywed that I've talked to here absolutley loved it here.
