Default Hood Emblem

I got a project from my work that needs to be done by thursday about hood emblem. i know many of s2kers or other folks into cars dont really like this particular product. when i was assigned with this analysis, i was like fcuk that i wouldnt buy it. that makes the car look ugly and old like one driven by parents.

the report summarizes the results of a focus group to determine the perception of young adults to a hood emblem showing a favorite team, or school or other meaningful symbols.

so participants were 10 college students. 4 of the participants were females, 6 were males. ages ranged from 17-25 for 5, and 26-35 for the other 5. 9 were sigle and one was married. all 10 were seniors and all own a vehicle. 8 of 10 listed football as their favorite sport, one preferred tennis and one hates all sports.

the question dealt with their spontaneous reaction to having seen and examined the hood emblem and having received and explanation of its primary use. the 1st reponder was negative to the idea equating it to making the car look old or whatever. however, every other participant felt positive about the hood emblem, even tho some expressed some reservations. these dealt mainly with a concern that a school emblem might be vandalized especially in a campus environment. altho 2 said that they would be more likely to give it as a gift rather than put it on their own car, of the 10, 9 said that they thought of the hood emblem in positive terms either to have or to give to someone. one student thought that a smaller version would be more acceptable to him and another would like to make the emblem removable in order to avoid theft and potential damage to his car.

well i need yall helps. i need as many opinions as i could for this. i dont know if i wanna buy one of these even if it looks tight cuz i never ever thought about having this on my hood. its like ugh. so what if you are on this product in charge for its sucess, what would the target market be, how would you describe this to pick customers attentions and how does the product apply to the clients?

i want all of ur different thoughts and ideas. thanks in advance guys.

showing us some pictures of these emblems would be a good start in stimulating our reactions. it's hard to make a comment on something that i really can't visualize merely from your description.

sorry i dont have any actual pictures of the emblems but simply two types were made and used for testing. one of them is mounted flat on the hood like that of BMWs and the other one is just like MBs with foot, flexible stem, frame, and logo decal in the middle of it.
can u picture?

i say for emblems. But i really don't care for any badging on anything really. I feel that for the most part it clutters the design.

edit - typos
