Louisiana is one of my favorite places in the country, but I absolutely refuse to go there between May and September- it is unbearable. Even living in the Ohio River Valley was awful. It would be between 90-105 every day from June-august, with 90% humidity. Now that I've moved to California, I don't think I could ever go back- it is usually about 77 degrees, but never hotter than 87 or so, with no humidity. And if 87 is too hot for you, hop in the car for 30 minutes and enjoy 60 degrees at the beach. I couldn't believe it til I experienced it for myself. There can easily be a 30-40 degree difference just over a 20-30 minute drive.

Typical North Texas temps. Average about 95 for the highs.

The Fawk it is. When I was living there, I'd wear jeans out at 80 (being from California, didn't think anything of it), and the locals were pissing about how hot it is.

The recent record-breaking summers had me full of -sauce.
