How can you stand having a second car?
I don't get it. I got a loaner Integra when I took my car in today, and while I enjoyed the GSR I had before the stook, this thing was so boring. Gah. It had no power, an automatic transmission, the suspension was floaty, the steering wheel was huge, the steering feel was light, I couldn't put the top down, and there were no radio controls except on the radio! Did I mention it had no power? I was so freakin bad to get my stook back. I think it would drive me absolutely crazy having to drive some other car for any period of time.
Yes, Silver S2K just can't relate to this problem...
Two excellent cars, you have there, my man...
I eliminated the whole idea by getting a 4Runner. The only thing that the War Wagon excels at beating up snow banks. So I don't expect excitement...that's how I get around not driving Scarlet all the time!

Yep, I relish having a second car when the weather is bad (heh, rain is "bad" in SoCal). My S2K has seen rain only once by accident.
Other times I'm glad I have another car:
1. On long Interstate trips when 4500 rpm and a noisy interior can get tiresome.
2. When I realize my other car gets 5-7 mpg better mileage than my S2K.
3. When I need to carry somthing bigger than a golf bag.
And perhaps the most important one...
4. When I realize my other car actually achieves higher cornering speeds and accelerates just about as quickly.
Of course, my other car isn't a convertible, isn't under warranty, doesn't have the wonderful handling balance, doesn't have a leather interior, doesn't look as cool and isn't nearly as helpful in picking up chicks, an image thing i guess

My beater truck reminds me how special my Melissa is to drive and own. It also allows me to leave her at home in bad weather with the peace of mind she's safe and sound at home. And the motorcycle.... No choice
I'll always own a motorcycle.

My kid hauler is in the background... 360lb ft of torque.
(i had my GSR for about a month after owning the S2000... it sucked royally in comparision)
Of course I would rather have the M5 that Silver has.

It would be kind of hard to haul motorcycles and mountain bikes w/ the S2000, so I'll always have to own a truck. Can't wait to hit around 95K mi in the 4Runner so I can rationalize replacing it w/ a Tundra V8 (what an engine!). Plus I like not driving it daily so I can keep it clean and not worry about parking it in less than desirable areas.
Not to mention that a manual might not be fun on my new daily commute down 360 just past Bee Caves (up from 3 miles to 15 miles
)
