Yes, I used to have that feeling driving my daily Camry after I bought my Miata in 1995.

Fortunately, living in Florida makes it possible now to have just the S2000 (plus my wife's Accord).

I don't know Scot, the Typhoon (I believe that's what it is) can probably carry more plywood, supplies, etc. and still pin you to the seat w/abundant torque

How do you like the M5 in comparision to the S2000?? I drove the E46 M3 and I guess i really like the quicker steering and much shorter shift of the S2000. -not that I couldn't adapt

"in comparison to the S2000?" There is no comparison Seriously, the cars are so different from each other with such different objectives its fruitless to try and compare. The M5 pulls so damn hard when I get into the S2K after a week of M5 driving, I think the S2000 is broken On the other hand, when I jump in the S2K I'm reminded of how much better/effortless a driving position and controls it has. The shifter is 100% more direct and precise, pedal and seat position are much more aggressive driving oriented, etc. Nothing (that I've found) matches the S2K for aggressive/angry driving fun The M5 is an unparallel cruise miester than can mix it up with about anything stock.

Top 10 situations when I enjoy my Si (which happens to be an automatic) over my S2K. . .

10. When it snows or rains (which has been almost every @%&*@# day this winter). . .
9. When I have to drive to the train station/mall/movies/etc. and leave my car unattended for extended periods of time. . .
8. When I drive into Manhattan to hang-out (I don't really worry about those crazy cabbies or driving tourists). . .
7. Did I mention when it rains or snows. . .
6. When I have to take more than 1 passenger (but no more than 2 ) anywhere. . .
5. When I have to leave my car at Newark Int. Airport for a business trip. . .
4. When I have to go to McDonald's, BK, or Wendy's and I don't want my car to smell like greasy fries
3. When it rains or snows. . .
2. Everytime I get Birdsh*t on my Si. . .

1. When someone mentions that my Prelude still looks good and rides well. . . I can say, "yeah. . . But I only use thisas my daily driver. . . I have an S2000 at home"

I'm definately with Iceman on the whole rain and snow bit. It's nice to have my Prelude for the crappy weather, then I appreciate my S2000 more for those "nice" days. Lately, a "nice day" is anyday where the temp rises above 50 and the sun comes out.

During the work week I drive the Lude. Then when I bust out the S2K, it seems like so much more fun. Too bad I'm going to have to get rid of my Prelude. Of course, I still carpool w/ the g/f. She has an Integra LS, but not for long. She's looking to get something new. Thinking about IS300, but might get ITR to save some cash. We'll see. Either way, the daily driver isn't so bad. As long as you know you have the hot rod waitin for ya when you get home.
