We should contact The master himself "Donald Trump" and ask for a donation to save underprivlaged pets. Thost that are bound for the chanber. Those that represent the story.

Donald Trump looks like a mean bastard. I'm sure he won't give a damn.

Nice piece. Would never do that to my dog, Chewbacca. He will be well taken care of until he just can't go any longer. A couple months ago I contacted the local chapter for a rescue organization for my dog's breed and will provide a foster home for some shelter dogs until good homes can be found.

Reading posts from a couple others makes me remember a bumper sticker I saw on a car the other day.....

"The more people I meet, the more I like my dog."

Very sad poem I sent the poem to my sister whose dog kind of in the same situation after my sister recently having 2 kids. Hopefully the poem will get them loving the dog again.

Thanks for bringing up the thread! It's not a poem but a short story. Hopefully it would change some people's attitudes, even for a short period of time.

on sending it to your sister!

I was offered a $10k raise and a really good job lobbying in Washington but turned it down because the travel would keep me away from the dog to much. They looked at me like I was nuts when that was the reason I gave them.

Dogs are such loyal creatures, I don't think I would betray that loyalty with neglect. He is getting older now, and his final couple years should be filled with long walks and frisbee for being such a great friend for so many years.
