The government? How do you think the government is responsible for people blowing up their engine? Did the government put a gun to people's head and say "you will blow up your engine or else"? I don't think so. If that's the case then you could say "Leave it to the Bush administration to figure how to F up the housing industry" instead of buyers refusing to pay the outrageous prices.

I think beanseff was just being sarcastic. And it was required by the Government that the vehicles turned in for the "cash for clunkers" program had to be permanently disabled by the dealer taking possession prior to being scraped.
