How do u deal with the question from your gf/wife?
I am a VERY sarcastic person, and she knows this. So when she says "is watching the fight with your friends really more important than me?". I simply say "yes". She laughs, I laugh, we hang up, I laugh harder....
A friend of miine had a prepared statement whenever the "what's more important....." line was used by his gf/wife.
He said, "I was racing cars when I met you and I'll be racing cars long after you're gone".
It puts his hobbie and their place in his life in perspective.

"Which is more important? Me or _________?" <-- insert your hobbie, job, S2000, etc ...
How do you deal with it?

We just try to balance each others priorities out so that each of us gets a bit of what we want, and compromise so that we are both happy. Its very hard to do, especially in the beginning....but pretty soon you can read each other really well and your marriage works like the 240 hp 4-cylinder under the hood of your S....beautifully.

I have never had my wife ask me that kind of question. I think she respects the few things that I am very dedicated to (other than her): my job, my S2000, golf, etc.
