Default How do you convert digital camera pics to smaller size for web posting?

I've got a digital camera w/ 2.1 Megapixels. Using some software that came with it, I resize the picture to the size of a post-it, and I save as a jpeg. Even then, the pictures are around 150K each.

Is there any way I can get the smaller so they are more download friendly?

Thanks in advance.

Open the pics with Microsoft Paint and save again.

Download IrfanView at http://www.irfanview.com.

It is the best freeware out there for what you want to do.

[B]I'd have recommended it if he didn't beat me to it.

This is a great utility for that type of thing, free, easy to use and quick.

It allows you to select the jpg percentage to control the file size independently from the picture size.

Use something that makes thumbnails, you select the pictures and choose an appropriate size and it'll resize all your pics in a few seconds. go to www.download.com and you'll find a shitload there.

On my camera, there's a setting where you can adjust the size of the pics. Also, I have an email setting that makes the pics even smaller (size as well) for sending via email. Check your camera if those settings are available. If not, just crop them on photo shop, etc.

I use this as well.

I have photoshop, but if I just want to make the file size smaller or simple cropping/resizing, I use irfran
