how do you deal with MEAT
the one thing i am the least proud of is that i eat meat. i love burgers, chicken, fish a perfect steak, not so much pork.
but i think of myself as an animal lover and care for any i encounter, except, of course for the one on my plate. it is no secret that meat producers/farmers/slaughterhouses etc are cruel and do unspeakable things to animals that make you wonder how civilized humans are at all.
so, how do you reconcile this personally? do u stop completely, buy "organic", don't care?

i think i'd be more humane if they just put a bullet through the cattle's head to kill it.

I once had wildebeast and zebra. The wildebeast wasn't too bad-- tasted like an inexpensive cut of beef -- like pot roast. The zebra tasted like horse -- go figure.

I think you could've included horse on the list of peculiar meats... and given us something normal to compare the taste to.

Some animals are for eating. Just kinda how things are. The people that extrapolate eating hamburgers to hating puppies and kittens and babies are the ones that have the problem.
