I've been dating a vegetarian for 4 years, never changed my habits. But after watching some of these videos, I've nearly completely cut out red meat... still eat chicken however.
red meat is surprisingly addictive, but once you give it up for a while... it's not that good any more, and is really dense in the stomach. I feel a lot healthier now that I've nearly completely given up red meat.
and I think the animal meat industry is shockingly cruel.

let's face it, cows are not cute, cuddly (pardon the pun), or smart. what the hell else are they here for if not to eat?
These animals may not be as intelligent as us, or they may not be what we consider cute... but they do not exist to be as intelligent as us, or to meet our standards for "cuteness".
They exist for their own needs which are what many of us also need. They enjoy each others companionship, fresh air, sunshine, life.
In the meat industry, from birth until death, they get torment, stress, fear, stale air filled with the stench of tons of feces and urine, no sunshine, and often a grotesque tortuous death.
Remembering those images was enough for me to give up red meat. And now, I find I don't crave it anymore. After a few months, the addiction is gone. It's surprisingly easy, actually.
