There are, I recall from our visit, two robots that do SOME of the welding. Uno-san explained to us how they work and they are extremely complex devices to program. So they do the simpler welds, like those around the mufflers and other less complicated welding process.

The more complex welds are all done by hand. They pipes, for example, are bent with a mandrel-style bending machine, a process that is done manually.

good thread, I always wondered, esp since I hear a lot of 'Mew-Jen's and even U's pronounced as a German umlaut, weird.
