I'm not really sure why that should be any or our concern. I'm sure it's not the concern of the parents of the girl she killed.
I blame video games and TV, oh and the Dems ... Santa Clause.... the tooth fairy .... and of course THE INTERNET! Heaven forbid we blame her upbringing, the moral values her parents taught her and/or just plain old let's blame the person who committed the crime.

Her mother and grandmother sat on one side of the courtroom. The grandmother has been Alyssa's legal guardian for about half of her life.
