Default How to "liquorize" store bought eggnog?

It's my friend's xmas partay tonight and I was planning on treating them with some holiday eggnog. I plan on buying it from a the grocery store and then adding in the liquor. What do usually use for eggnog? Dark or light Rum? Brandy too?

Need to know soon since the party is a few hours away!

Thanks!

Maker's Mark whiskey is my favorite for eggnog.

When I make my own eggnog - I never buy the stuff from the store - I use brandy; I hate rum. Add a little peach brandy as well.

Remember to bring nutmeg.

I thought Rum or Vodka was the weapon of choice for Egg Nog....could be wrong though.

Make two batches: one with rum (dark, good stuff) and one with whiskey. Everybody's happy!

Merry sexmas, happy holidays, and all that good stuff!!
