Default how long do the lights in door bell buttons last?

My house is over 7 years old.... i am rarely up at 3:00am to see the light, but it is still glowing strong. it is on all day every day I assume.

going back to bed soon hopefully.

while you try to figure that out, go find out if the refrigerator light actually goes out when you close the door...

Funny thing is...I proposed an idea to my father about a flourescent refrigerator light, so it wouldn't get so hot. I wasn't even thinking about the light going off when the door's closed.

i think a fridge light is only like 10W. Hot to the touch, but it doesn't heat things up too much.

a florescent bulb is more expensive to implement, plus it makes the food look non-appetizing. I'm sure the fridge companies have looked into it.

They last until they burnout, at least that's what I was told.
