probably one of the good things (maybe the only good thing) with living far from work is that if you get snowed in, you pretty much don't have to go to work (well, at least for me)...but if you live 2 blocks away, there is never an excuse

 

Lasy year, pretty much all year, 180 miles to work, 180 back (3 hrs there, 2.15 back on a very fast run).

Now work just 20 miles from home.

 

My commute time has changed dramatically in the past 6 months.

Used to be: 2 hours one way.

Now it is: 10 minutes one way.

I switched jobs and now live very close to work.

 

35 to 45 min depending on traffic 44 miles each way
