hi everyone

so hopefully i'm about to win an auction on ebay for the first time ever, and i was wondering what procedures i should take should the buy try to scam me. (all these posts about people getting scammed have got to me ) i'm trying to stay as far away from paypal and never use it, so i'm probably going to either pay with a personal or cashier check.

what procedures should i take?

here's the item. i might get sniped. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...RK%3AMEBBI%3AIT
don't worry. i'm not gonna use the chromed out one. lol. (i have a gsr)

edit: damn it... some son of a raised it from 6.50 to 15.00.

Considering it's under $25, have some faith. Usually the rip-offs are in the hundreds. There is no $$ in it for $20 auctions to rip off. That and he has 100% positive feedback.

Oh yeah, Paypal does have a buyers protection policy. It is a bit more to buy the insurance, but you should look into it.
