Does mustache count. 22 years and still counting. I shaved it off last year cuz the wife wanted to know what it would look like. Damn it hurt. I hated not recognizing the image in the mirror. It started growing back out the next day.

Maintaining it is easier than shaving. I have a Norelco beard trimmer with a built-in length guide. You just set the guide and it takes about 1-2 minutes each week. Just like using clippers on a dog!

My wife, who is 17 years younger than me, was 4 when I last shaved my beard! She has obviously never seen me without it and she has always liked it.

I last shaved off my mustache in March of 77 and I've had a goatee for over three years. I really don't like the goatee but my wife does so I'll keep it as long as she wants me to.
