Yikes, you guys better have some big a$$ houses, over 5,000 at least with a high end air filtration system to be able to live with all those animals indoors.

How do you deal with eating food covered in animal hair and dander?

I don't care how many warm fuzzies you get if you have to walk in your home and it smells like the dog pound.

I used to be a house flipper and would never touch a house that had indoor animals because of the clean up required for new owners.

Awhile back I was going to the bank and as I was going to get out of the car some nut job broad was talking to a glorified rat. "Mommy is going in to get her nails done, then mommy is going get lunch and so on". I sat there with my jaw hanging, she looked at me and I asked her if it was safe to park next to someone who speaks to a animal like the animal was a human? She repeated that it was her baby . I got back in my car and told her maybe she should try sex with humans and get a real person instead. What a freaking nut job.

2 horses with stalls in a barn.

2 cats in the tackroom.

2 American Cockers in the house.

1 Pomeranian in the house.

The house does not smell. The animals are well trained and we keep them clean. Keeping the house clean is sometimes a b!tch though.

1 indoor/outdoor cat named Soichiro. That's enough for me.

clinically animals are quite disassociated from humans. this is why we are able to eat them. we use their hides/ fur in our furniture and clothing. exposure to a less pure environment insures a functional immune system children growing up in a house w/o pets have later respiratory issues in life.

i guess its easy to let things go, dont wash the pets, dont clean up after them and trash the house.

2 Golden Retrievers, 1 cat. They are all laying around on the furniture right now taking naps. We keep a relatively clean house with no odors - we bath our dogs every few weeks, and since they are indoor dogs, they don't smell. Sure, we have some hair around, but that's the price you pay. Wouldn't have it any other way.

1 Dog- border collie- we keep him outside only though.
I grew up with a border collie, most energetic, fun and playful dog I have had or met. She had a habit of trying to herd my little brother when he would run around

but now we have a mix, cody

I was equally disgusted when I saw dogs in strollers for the first time...

I have one indoor cat and she's long haired. Life is a whole lot easier because there is only hardwood and tile in the house. The next place we live will definitely have carpet, so that means back to the higher maintenance cleaning.
