7 year radiology program?
interventional?
7 was counting and assuming a 2 year fellowship; her residency itself is just 5. Some of the fellowships are just a year, so maybe she'll get done a year sooner.

She's not sure what she'll specialize in yet; she hasn't done much radiology yet excepting watching people work as an MS4 in her electives. Her attendings have given her the impression that a fellowship is nearly expected though, so we're planning on it as part of the package.

yeah WTF??? are you only paid while you are on the plane?????
seems the opposite of the way it should be,.....my dad drove trains and he would get paid for his 8-36hrs he had to wait in the hotel.
Only get paid when the main cabin door is closed. Anytime you see an Airline Pilot, he/she is not getting paid

As far as the Union, yes we are Union, and I happen to be the First Officer Rep, I am the Vice Chairmen of Newark, Local 177 Thanks to Bush, along with the Railway Labor ACT of 1939, thats right, I said 1939, it is VERY VERY difficult for us to go on strike

Colgan was sold to pinnacle, aka "pinch-a-nickle"

My wife does Pharma Sales

My buddy has been wanting to open up a Sandwhich shop in Hoboken, NJ for a loong loong time, I may put all my eggs in that basket, DIE TRYIN baby

Here is a typical day

Wake up in some shitty hotel/city at 3:30am for a 4:00 am van, get to the airport at 4:30 get hassled by TSA (worthless idiots), get to the airplane at 5:00, preflight it, set up the flight plan, do the weight and balance, test EVERY SINGLE system, then they start to board at 5:30 (mind you I have still yet to start getting paid). We close the door at 6:00, one minute less or one minute more and the Chief Pilots will call you and want to know why., take off at 6:15am, depending on the morning rush, hopefully weather is nice, if not you get the shit knocked out of you or glued to the radar to find the "least shitty cell" Get up to cruise altitude complain a little bit, then we land the plane (pending no inflight airplane failures), sit around the airport for 4 hrs (not getting paid) then do the same thing.

Granted we sometimes start later in the day but flying until 1am is no fun either, its just too much fatiguing work for so little pay

If you think being an airline pilot makes for long hours and shitty pay, what exactly do you think the upsides of running a restaurant are going to be?

And for what it's worth, making good food is the least part of running a successful restaurant. In fact, I'd say it is immaterial.

Truth.

A lot of restaurants start with good cooks. And isn't it something like 80% fail in the first year?

1) Busting your ass for your self is a lot different then busting your ass to make someone else rich

2) wouldn't be a restaurant, and I know good food is a small part

3) Starting a restaurant is not really what my plan B is

4) its more like 90% of small business' fail, however that stopping anyone from trying something is more sad then actually failing......

this is besides the point fellas
