How much is 92 NSX with 64000miles?

Actually pretty good. The exterior looked perfect, and the interior was OK. There was some issue with the transmission (broken mount or something) that was supposed to cost like $7000 to fix. A friend of his who had experience racing NSX's knew of another part that cost $100 that could be used in it's place if you had the tools to install it. I drove the car before that was fixed and didn't notice anything wrong. He first saw the car selling for $20k, I believe, from some lady that couldn't afford to fix the car, and she accepted his offer for $16k. Some people just get lucky. He uses it as a daily driver and hasn't had any problems with it since he got it (5 months ago, roughly).

If it was the snap ring there is no permanent fix other than replacing the entire transmission case. You can temporarily repair it with a new snap ring but it will eventually give way and break also.

Snap ring failure will cause the gear shifter to move back and forth or even pop in and out of gear during acceleration or deceleration. A new ring will provide a temporary fix but a manufacturing defect in the transmission case is the problem.
$1500 to $3000 repair depending on the honesty of your mechanic.
No new case = no fix.

Hmmm... Doesn't sound like the snap ring problem. I drove a '91 NSX with the snap ring issue - didnt' realize it at the time. But my Acura dealership strongly recommended I NOT by that car, because it'd cost about $10k to fix. It had the exact issues SCS2k mentioned.
That was a fun test-drive, though.

I'd like to get my hands on an NSX myself. Personally, I'd try to find a '97+. It will cost you more, but you can get the 6 speed, 3.2 liter 290hp engine, and the targa top, can't forget spa yellow pearl. You should be able to find a '91-'93 for around $30k depending on the condition.
I think I might just get an NSX to get some more legroom, I'm 6'3".

Good looking car but pop-up headlights are making it dated.
