I'm 25 and just got my first CC about 2 months ago. Used it three times, my current balance is 0.00. I only got it to raise my credit score to buy a house hopefully soon.

I have never before carried a balance on my credit cards, paying off the total every month, and consequently my credit rating is excellent. (like 760+) also, my credit card gives me mileage with Northwest Airlines and I have more than enough miles now for a couple free round-trip tickets anywhere in the US.

I have just started carrying a balance on my credit card, but for a good reason; I got a deal wherein they dropped my rates to 2% for 6 months. considering that the loan on my S2000 is at 4.29%, it made sense to allow a balance to build up on my CC and put as much money towards my S to pay that debt down as quickly as possible.

consequently, I am now one full year ahead on my car payments. it's the greatest feeling to see your next payment due on your car is March, 2005. and I've paid off fully 1/3rd of my car in only 9-10 months of ownership. (and I have a 60-month loan)

now I've built up approx. $4000+ in debt on my credit card, but I'm not too worried about it. my interest will balloon in June back to it's 8.99% rate, but I will have the debt paid off by then.

i have a 0.00 balance.
^which credit card company gives you air mileage? i need a second credit card company that gives something back to it's users. i don't care about the interest rate as long as there are no fees if everything is paid on time.

a lot of mileage plans have credit card mileage deals. just go to their website and check it out.

I already had mileage with Northwest/KLM (and I've been pretty darned happy with their service, unlike United, which is a totally crappy airline). I don't pay any annual fees, btw.
