How much do you post?
I often wonder how much members of the site post, and how their personality in the real world correlates to it. I've made some interesting observations when meeting local folks in person.
For example:
I am pretty quiet in real life, but I tend to post a fair bit
gregg is not so quiet in real life, but rarely ever posts on the site (please don't kick my ass gregg
)
What about you...how much do you post, and does it reflect your personality?
P.S. If I had to guess, bayarea408 is probably a very reserved and quiet guy

I am sometimes quiet and a bit introverted, but am also very outgoing sometimes as well. I can even be a little "over the top" and "off the wall" but, hey, anything is better than boredom sometimes.
I'd say my posting habits may reflect this.

Yes and No to your question. In real life I have several different personalities. This is reflected here. I will help people just because I can and that's one side of my personality. I can be reserved too, if I want to be. That's how come I don't do the "wave" at every S2000 driver that passed by. Just because we drive the same car doesn't mean we have anything else in common or that the other person is someone I would like. The internet is entertainment for me. This forum is just that. I go "fishing" once in a while. I dangle bait to see what bites. When I see "anal retentiveness", I give a "shot", I throw out some bait. This tells me volumes about the character and nature of some of the people behind the "user names". I like to see reactions. If I see something that makes me just sit back and roll my eyes around, I throw out some bait. I don't do this in real life. The internet is kinda "surreal" to me. I use it to have a few giggles, learn some things, teach some things, but the bottom line: "Don't take it too seriously". It's just a bunch of words on a computer screen.
I post waaay more than I should (like now).

usually takes me a long time to warm up to people, especially when they all know each other already. now, if someone new came into MY group of friend, i do all i can to make them feel comfortable and will joke, talk, etc with them.
when i first got on this site, i posted replies only. even then, i only posted on a select few. now, i post probably 5-7 times a day (usually only when i'm working..haha). i'd say it's a reflection of me....yeah, i guess.

I am a huge extravert. I'll talk to anyone and everyone. I average about 2.61 posts per day, I don't think there is a direct correlation for me. I post on a topic when I feel I can be funny or informative or just want to be involved in a discussion and ofcourse when I have stupid questions to ask.
Trending Topics
I post when I feel I have something to add to the discussion at hand. This directly mirrors my personality - I'm a very taciturn person unless the conversation is something I can immediately relate to - usually cars and hockey. Otherwise I tend to mind my own. I guess I post fairly often just because many of the topics here are things which I relate to - namely cars
