Default How much are Ebay fees?

I'm planning to sell something that's worth about $2400.
I've never used ebay before so I have no idea how much fees they charge you.
I'm gonna be using my friend's account since I don't have one.

how much are ebay fees for an item that's $2400? (listing fee and final sale fee?)
any rough estimate would be helpful.
btw, it's an electronic.

Should only be a couple bucks plus the cost of the options you choose. (I.E. additional pictures, reserve price, B.I.N.)

Don't forget 3% paypal if you're going that route.

Its a bit more than a couple bucks. I believe it is 9% of the sold price with a $50 max. So in your case, $50 bucks plus a few bucks for insertion and options.

I don't know if I would trust paypal with $2,400, since I got burned once with chargebacks but they do take 3%....

about paypal, I've only sold relatively small items on eBay though, biggest item was around $700.
