how much was GAS when you first started driving?

Back in the late 60's I think Sunoco 260 went for about .33, with regular in the higher .20's.

I first started driving in Georgia in 1997. 90c/gal was not uncommon...

oh well, at least I have a better car now

When I first started driving (1983) it was about $5 a gallon, I think.

I started driving here in 1990 and couldn't believe they gave the stuff away for around $1.05 a gallon!

'98/'99 in the chicago suburbs...cheapest i ever saw was about $.89/gal for regular unleaded, at thornton's. currently paying $3.49/gal in a different suburb by work, for premium.

i am in the 1986 range for my license..... I remember putting $2.00 in the car and that would be an evening of driving around town acting like dickholes.

I think gas musta been about $.80 or so back then for the shitty grade.

$0.58 per gallon regular. Better yet, pack of cigarettes was $0.43 cents per pack.

On the flip side, same year a 27 inch color TV was $800, now about $150-$250.
