How much you think that is?

Smart people know their FDIC insurance limits. Its 250k, not 100k. And that is if you only have one person on your account.

Smart people also don't go over their insurance limits, especially with a small bank that can fail. I'm pretty sure you're safe with BofA, Wells Fargo, Chase, ect. There are much better ways to hold money than in the trunk of a car, investments, trust funds, businesses, ect. Or at least a safe in your house.

Also, if they're all 100's (which they're not) its around 2.5 mil. All the brownish straps are 10k each, the purple ones in the top left are 2k each. He even mentions in the video that he wants to cover up the 20's.
Smart people realize it was only recently changed to 250 as a result of people losing their asses at the 100k level.

Smart people realize if you have 1 million dollars in accounts, it was really a huge PITA to manage 10 accounts at 10 banks.

Smart people realize nothing is 100%, investments can fail and you lose your money, laws and taxes change, people who work for you steal.

why is he stupid for having cash?

He's an entertainer, apparently a very good one shown by the amount of money he's shoving into the trunk of his Murcielago.

i think i understand what you mean though, the value of the dollar can still fluctuate. maybe he should build an igloo out of gold bricks.

try not to hate so much.

I figured the point of my post was pretty simple for most...but apparently not...

He's stupid for feeling the need to put on such a show for people to flaunt what he has....even if humor was the point its still just a gross display.

But I guess I should expect it from an artist that is in a genre of music where its acceptable to simply make music surrounding about what "tjhey got and you aint got" because people buy into it....

Low class, yes.

It's common for the neuvorich and moreso the pseudoneuvorich to flaunt.

You are right that it's a facade of the rapper culture. Where do you think the whole notion of 'bling' came from?

There was a time where the true ultra rich blue bloods flaunted too, but learned that all it brought was backlash so they went to private and subdued.

It's a difficult balance though. When you have, at times you do want it to be known at least to the point where it earns you privilege.

I don't think it's stupid. That's just how the hip hop culture is. If anything it's smart viral marketing. Look how many people comment on this.

You're not the only one who thinks that the blatant materialism of hip hop "culture" is stupid.
