Clearly, you are correct. I don't know much about catapults, and I'll accept this is much more like a slingshot than a catapult. However, Mr. Internet Hall Monitor, I question your use of the word "spelt"--unless you were educated across the pond (where "spelt" is a mostly British past tense and past participle of "spell"), then "spelt" chiefly refers to an ancient form of wheat, and the commonly used past tense of "spell" in the US is "spelled".
