I know a few people who have seen both Tom Jones and Wayne Newton in Vegas, just to do something cheesy. They all hated to admit it but they though both were great shows and that these people were fantastic entertainers, they said, "I can't explain it, you just have to see it."

I have the same time telling non-Prince fans what its like to see the guy live. Some people just have "it". I have taken a couple Prince haters to his concerts and all they could say was "Wow, that was awesome." And became fans.

As far as Jones goes, I think I get what the op is saying, I mean the guy has a giant pumpkin head.

Plus, he was sexy in 1968.

I have an old live album of his ('72? Live at The Flamingo); it is good in a very dated way.

Tom is so sexy that women would throw their panties onstage whenever Tom sang. These days I think all he's getting are granny panties.
