it's a good thing most of you don't speak or read chinese, wait till you actually understand what some of those politicians are saying about us...

 

It's just a reflection of the world view toward us. On top of that most of Latin America is a fairly stratified(we would call it racist) society. The lighter skin, aka less Indian and or Black, you are the higher the class belong to. Sort of works that way here, but not so damn open and accepted like it is there.

I just heard this on NPR today.
Even in the US, blacks treat each other based on the how dark the person's skin is. It's called "colorism"
there's even a book about it.

You might be thinking of Spike Lee's "School Daze". Jungle Fever was about inter-racial dating.
