Hummer Drivers Get More Tickets.

Evidently that was not clear enough.
From the quote in the OP:
"The study suggests such an attitude is unique to Hummer drivers and doesn't apply to everyone in an SUV, because the the Hummer was followed by the diminutive Scion tC and xB. People behind the wheel of those cars were 4.6 and 4.03 times, respectively, as likely to get tickets than the average driver. The researchers attributed that to the fact the average Scion driver is in his or her early 20s."
Hence my question regarding the validity of these statistics. I seem many people driving the tC that are in their 20's. I have only seen one person under the age of 40 ever driving an xB.
Evidently people in here aren't reading the entire article.

Honestly, I'm not surprised by the TC being up there. Out of the three cars (when I was part of it, there was only the xA, xB and TC), the TC owners were the most pompous.
As we were out in a parking lot filming a regional commercial, we were doing what can best be described as 'power slides' in the rain. Essentially pulling the e-brake and turning the wheel. One guy in a TC actually tried to argue with me that his car was doing a drift, vs. mine (an xA) just sliding.
To get back to the statistic, back when I was involved ('04) it was probably 60/40 on owners over 30 vs. under 30. I haven't been around scions in about 3 years now, so that average may have changed.
