Given the burden of proof in civil litigation compared to a criminal court, and the general (and deserved) lack of sympathy people have for drunk drivers, I think these Hyundai execs are
'ed, royaly. The rampant anti-immigrant sentiment in America, and the fact he fled the country don't help anyone, either.

'ed, royaly.sounds like to me hyundai is just kicking balls around, the guy has left the country, so CHP and police department can't do anything about it, then hyundai execs just claimed the guy left the country on his own, deny responsibility.
I will not be surprised if the guy is still working for hyundai. is an immigrant.

That's ridiculous. If he wins, then a precedent will be set that you can sue the other people who were drinking with someone who caused a DUI.
