Default I am so happy with this software :)

It's called Star Downloader. It enables you to stores as many downloads as you want in its directory. It will download 3 files at a time. The files that are still in the directory will start once one of the 3 previous files is done. If the download has a slow server and the server stalls, it will keep try downloading.....unless it confirms the file is dead and the server is down (it confirms very quickly, gets its job done). And if your internet connection is lost or if your computer power is shut off by the circuit breaker in your house or whatever, the software program will immediately pause all of the downloads so you will never have to start over. And if you downloaded a video and want others to know about but can't remember where you downloaded it from, the software keeps track of the direct web adresses in its directory. If you go on the web and usually see over 50 files you would like to download but scared of having to start over because of a computer or internet malfunction, use this software to stop your worries. I have used this software for 3 months and I am very happy I downloaded it. If I were to rate this softare, I would give it a 9.9 out of 10.

Plus, there are no annoying banner ads.

go here and then click on the icon saying "Download Now"

Sounds like a lot of the downloaders that I've used over the years. I'll have to try this one out.

I was using one recently that let you download the file in 5 chunks. It actually logged into the server 5 times and downloaded the file faster.

This one is slow as any other server. It does split the files but as more people are downloading this softwrae, the server will not be fast anymore. But I love how it automatically pauses the downloads. Another feature I like about it is you can store as many files you want in its directory. And if you want people to know about a file you like, but forgot where you got it, you can always check its "history" section

I give this software 9.9 out of 10.

If you use a phone line in conjuntion with another device conncected to it like (modem, fax machine) you will definitely need this software if you download files. When I use the modem, a person might call on my phone line, and that call sometimes makes it through the line which shuts off my modem connection. This is an annoyance I have to live with as a non-DSL user. I could not imagine a better software like this until the next 10 yrs.
