A few nights ago as I was going to bed, I noticed a guy siphoning gas out of a truck in the parking lot of my apartment complex. I've never seen the guy before and I didn't think much of it at first, until he began doing that to another car and then another car after that. By the time the police came, he had hit up about a half dozen cars. The police got him, his wife, and impounded his vehicle. I don't think he got much, maybe 5 gallons. Seems like a lot of trouble to go through for only $10-$15 of gas.

I can't imagine this being an isolated incident either. I'm sure people are doing this all over the country now. I'm glad I have a garage.

how was he siphoning it, was he sucking on the hose or did he have a pump....

sucking on a gasoline hose (if not clear) is one of the best "stupid human tricks" there is, gas is sooooooo good for your insides!!!

 

And I thought this practice died out on the 70's.

Then again, I remember some days when my friend and I were po' and we were putting in a buck or two to keep his beater running.

Thank God that didn't last long... (the po' thing, the beater didn't last all that long anyway)

I didn't see a pump. He was sucking on the hose to siphon the gas.

 

It was much more entertaining watching the police take him away.

 

This guy was telling me how someone had tried to siphon gas out of his RV....Well the problem was he siphoned from the wrong container. He ended up siphoning out of the raw sewage.....They had to call 911 police came and the guy didn't press charges because he thought this was punishment enough.
