Scott Bakula? He's fine in Quantum Leap, but as a captain of a starship? Albeit an early one...

I just would like to see Linda Park in that new series

The problem with these producers is that they made a Chinese American into Ensign Kim (Korean name), and now they're making Linda Park (Korean American) into a Japanese crew member. I don't quite understand that!

You know, it seems this question gets posed everytime a new ST spin off comes around. It will be the same in another 5 years when this one goes and the next one comes.

I think they should cast Linda Hamilton as a Starship Captain. She would take no prisoners.

Yes, and I thought DS9 was the worst thing ever happened to Star Trek when it aired, and I still feel that way.
