I go to UTI and i failed my very first couple of tests, I don't understand i studied for the the test too. This kind of stuff makes me depressed now I have to go to tutoring any one suggest anything or could help?
I feel you op,
Im a mechanical engineering student and I have to retake one of my classes. I actually didnt fail it cuz I a C- in the class, but I have to get a C in order to take the next class. I was kinda depressed because I studied a lot for it and I have never had to retake a class before...
Well I guess my advice to you is dont quit and keep trying, work hard and have discipline. Hope you succeed

Studying is a funny thing. It's not about how much pain, effort or hours you put in. It's about how effectively you LEARNed the material.
I could "study" ineffectively for hours or study effectively for minutes.
The proof is in the pudding. When studying, keep quizzing yourself to see if you actually understand what you're learning. Use flashcards, notes, whatever you need.
But just spending the time studying doesn't guarantee retention.

i figured that out late in high school. i could read from the text books over and over and over again and all i was doing was just reading the individual words without fully understanding the meaning of the sentence/paragraph/chapter.
then i figured that the only way to know for sure if i KNEW the subject was to try to explain/teach it to someone else. so after each paragraph i would try and explain it in my own words to my own imaginenary student.
