Smile I got jacked!

So last night I wash my wife's new Infinity G35X in our drive way. I accidently left the passenger door unlocked and this morning we find that someone had gone through the car and stolen her new I-pod and I-Pod adapter out of the center console. I know it's my fault for leaving the door unlocked but we live in a nice neighborhood and it pisses me off that the one day I leave a door unlocked I get jacked! I filed a police report but who knows what that's going to do and The I-Pod is as much as our insurance deducible. This is not how I wanted to start off my wek...anyways, I guess this is a hard lesson leaned.

when living at my parent's (which is a good neighborhood in the suburbs) I woke one morning to my window laying in the grass. my windows were tinted, so there it was in pretty much full form just laying there. Nothing was stolen from my car, because I had nothing of value in it, but my back seat was pulled forward.

depending on the thief it might have been a good thing your door was unlocked, as you may have had to tack on a window to that bill. I know i wish I had left my doors unlocked.

might as well upgrade the wife to a new iphone :-)

Well people looking to steal stuff of value usually look in "nice" neighborhoods, since that's where anything worth stealing usually is.

LuDawg,
I hate hearing this stuff as I am in your neck of the woods.
As a matter of fact, I do have grapes! And they are for sale. Looking for some?

I had this happen to me back in Jan 2006. I left my driver's side door of my 98 Civic unlocked as I was watching the USC vs. Texas in the Rose Bowl. When my roommate went to get something out of his car he brought in a handful of items from my truck; I asked where he found them and he replied on the ground behind your car. I went out to find that someone stole my speakers, box, and amp since it was attached to the box. Filed a police report with no luck. Later my other roommate told me a guy we worked with asked if we lived in the apt. complex because he was around that way the other night selling BOOTLEG CD's. Putting things together one would assume that he was the key suspect; however I got back more that what I originally paid for the system so I let it go.

Sorry to hear about your this!

If I were a jacker, I'd look for nice neighborhoods as opposed to shitty neighborhoods.

Morris -

LOL Napa is such a small town... I am surprised I have not seen you driving around. I live in North Napa near Vine Hill Park which I would consider to be one of the better parts but I guess the nicer neighborhoods are a target for thief's as people have mentioned. Napa PD requires that you file the police report online. I got confirmation with a case number today. It's crazy how you don't deal with people anymore...

Hey Dawg,
I drive a RAV4, the S is my wifes car, purchased Sept. 2000, the day after they were released in the US.
I hope your thief gets caught some day (for bigger things) and has a cell-mate that thinks he's cute!
